The matter comes to life in the hands of artists. It becomes fashion design, tapestry, installation, or even A.I. generated art, all inspired by textures with a vocabulary based on expressions of form and color, revealing a contemporary discourse. The PRETEXTS exhibition coagulates works of art whose surfaces speak of multiple declinations of the same theme – tactile matter. Created in 3D, 2D or as projections or photographs, the works present various depictions of matter, supported by meticulous manuality, promoting a vibrating visual dialog that sculpts bold, dislocated or, on the contrary, appeased forms.
