Friday, 30th September, 21.00, at the headquarters of the Museum of Recent Art (MARe), on Primăverii Avenue, no. 15, it will take place the opening of More-than-Abstract exhibition (MAMUCA). A one-night-exhibition, presented in a building under construction. An ephemeral event from a project in progress. Nothing describes MARe profile more adequately, for which the “building site” will be a pulse, especially after the museum’s official inauguration. The visitors who will enter its realm on the occasion of the White Night of Galleries will be, basically, the first visitors of the future MARe museum.
The MAMUCA exhibition means, from a formal point of view, 25 artists, from Diet Sayler to Constantin Petrașchievici and from Miklos Onucsan to Paul Gherasim, each represented by one sole artwork. An exhibition intended to show, but also to provoke, to please, but also to displease, to vex, but also to offer answers. A bet on each visitor’s freedom to look at, to ask, to interpret, to believe. At the opening, the exhibition’s prospectus will also be released, a real publishing event. Curator: Erwin Kessler
