Artessentia Cultural Association welcomes you to Galeria Albastră at the opening of the debut exhibition by Decebal Gabriel Ţăroi, "Masca, cadran uman" (Mask, Human Dial). The mask ... has always symbolized the connection between man and his primordial nature. From prehistory we can see this relationship manifesting itself by creating and appropriating masks with symbolic roles and powers, trying to make a connection between the real world and the supernatural world. Form, texture, color, material, more precisely all the construction of the object that forms the palpable message that man passes to the palpable or impalpable entities. In the theater, the mask is worn in order to convey to the audience the feelings, emotions, livings, personality and expressiveness of the performed character. And psychologically we can see the masks being used in everyday life as social tools. We tend to assign to these masks the utility of protection, while the individual creates them in the course of his life for the to serve as a surface in which the reflection of the others refracts, namely a description of what he is and what he appears to others or how he wants to be perceived. For each information the inner self gathers, it creates a new social mask, a new profile and a new method of data transmission. Thus, it's outlined the idea of man as a bowl of creation, the mask thus becomes an instrument of it, transmitting a detectable and undetectable, a macrocosmic and microcosmic, a material and immaterial reality. The young creator proposes to emphasize the concept of the Mask in a contemporary artistic context through ceramics, clay. A material scalarized by the divine breath, organic, "living", used by man from the beginning of time. The ceramic object passing through several stages being a metamorphosis of matter through all the elements, soil and water at the origins, air and fire in its processing.
