I AM Y sets out to sketch a portrait of the 'millennials' generation. Addicted to technology, sensitive, slightly effeminate, using pre-established expressions, half in Romanian, half in English, they are the emoticon generation - humans merged psychologically and emotionally with the technology they use. Yet, at the same time they are cool, extremely handy with all information, genetically creative and very urbanized (those who live in cities). Generation Y embodies the portrait of the urban outlaw, adapted to a new kind of challenge: less physical or mechanical and more mental, being armed with new social tools: acting talents, histrionic skills, selfishness. The show presents works by Mircea Moroianu (drawing, video installation) and Sergiu Chihaia (collage, installation).
