STUDENTS TAKE OVER THE STREET, is a project started with the ASUNAB initiative, which aims to promote students from the National University of Arts in Bucharest, regardless of the department, the medium used or the topic addressed. The street, this common place, the road from point A to point B has become insignificant, neutral, a space that we forgot to look at and that we do not know how to enjoy. Too anchored in goals and achievements, we lost attention to the daily details. In a world of macro consumption we are also present macro. Our roads load us with potholes, horns and aggressive advertisements rather than micro-moments of respite or reflection. NAG is that event that for 14 years has given us days off by bringing contemporary art closer to the general public. At the end of a difficult year marked by uncertainties and anxieties, the UNARTE student community joins this initiative in the desire to speak through the works exhibited not only about the artist's destination but also about his path to becoming. The conditions of participation were: Sending images / videos with a maximum of 2 works in order to participate in the White Night of the Galleries. The selected creations will be displayed through video projection. The works will be of all types: painting, sculpture, graphics, applied arts and design, fashion, mural, photo-video, animation, digital art, performance, ceramics, glass, etc. The email for collecting the works of art was laboratorartistic@gmail.com and contained the following: - on SUBJECT: STUDENTS TAKE OVER THE STREET + NAME AND SURNAME - images with works or video files of maximum 1 minute, in Full HD resolution ( 1920x1080 pixels), saved in files named with the title, student name, section and year - details specified in the email were as follows: student name, title, a brief description of the paper, technique, year of completion and that this is your own creation. Applications that did not meet the image quality criteria and the information to be mentioned were not taken into account. The curatorial team consisted of students from the Department of Art History at the National University of Art in Bucharest. Project initiated and organized by the UNArte Bucharest Students Association. Made with the support of ETAJ artist-run space.
