“Interlaced” aims to present a series of works of the artists running SEGMENT, in an Open Studio event. Horațiu Coman (b. 1997) works with the residual images of graphic signs generated by the interaction with a specific medium and its instruments, analyzing the very nature of the work of art as a work of art itself. Approaching an artistic practice that gravitates around the concept of transdigital art, his works explore the visual crossroads between digital and analog, revealing the invisible field between the two mediums. Ioana Iacob (b. 1987) is a graduate of the University of Art and Design of Cluj-Napoca. Her figurative works, sometimes autobiographical, represent an investigation of the painting medium and of its sensorial quality. The images produced, although personal, evoke a universality of the contemporary life and human feelings. Cellino Tiziana (b. 1996) is a visual artist who works in Cluj-Napoca. She explores the concept of territory; questioning identity, belonging, memory and authenticity and how they form an ensemble of existence. The works document the unaltered expression in the form of a non-representational field, the impression of the organic element referring to the actual meaning of a physical territory or land. Teodora Zamfirache (b. 1996) is a visual artist working in Cluj-Napoca. In her practice she explores light installation as a medium, using fluorescent light fixtures as well as video projection. She is interested in the perception of space and the relation installations have with the exhibition space.
