"Overlap" starts from the premise of an experiment that has the double exposure at its core: a photographer is invited to "consume" a pre-set film, to send it on to another photographer, who will compositionally build over the exposed film on top of the latent images of the first. This experiment took place over a period of 3 months, the photographic film corresponding between various spaces and locations such as Spain, Great Britain or the various regions of Romania. The artistic act proposed in the "Overlap" project represents a meditation on identifying a community in which film photography is still central as an approach, on how different artists can collaborate to highlight the specific possibilities of the so-called light drawing . "Starting from the idea that photography is the meeting place of some concepts with reality, I thought of a series of dialogues/conversations between artists, guided by the photographic technique itself. This type of experiment offers a different perspective on one's own themes and searches by juxtaposing them with those of the other artists involved in the project, thus formulating new visions on old themes or already explored by each until this moment. "Overlap" is a collaborative exhibition between the artists: Răzvan Neagoe, Mircea Modreanu, Horațiu Lipot, Claudia Retegan, Andreea Elena Teleagă, Ștefan Dinu, Irina Dora Dumitrașcu, Alexandru Maxim, Sabina Suru, Mihai Zgondoiu, Mircea Sorin Albutiu, Justinian Scarlătescu, Andrei Fărcășanu , Olimpiu Bandalac and Sandu-Milea Lucian. "Overlap" is an experimental exhibition from multiple points of view taking place in four locations, each show is distinct , comprising different works from one gallery to another, thus elaborating on ideas of multiplicity and exhibition rethorics. The collaborative approach of the project replaces the perpective of the authorship's singularity with a shared co-authorship.
