The White Night of the Art Galleries / NAG is an event organized by Ephemair Association. NAG first edition took place a week after the 2007 White Night of Museums and it was the second cultural event held overnight in Romania.
In the last six years, the White Night of the Art Galleries has developed as a project recognized for promoting contemporary art and young artists; the popularity and the growing demand for participation in this event encourages us to further expand it as a bi-annual event.

Thus, starting with 2012, NAG will be held on May 25th and September 28th. The difference between the two annual editions will be: in May - the premiere presentation of projects especially produced by the NAG team promoting young emergent artists from Bucharest and Romania. The September edition will present to the public an updated map of art galleries and spaces in Bucharest, promoting all forms of art. Our goals for future editions include a coherent expanding to other cultural centers in Romania, thus contributing to cultural promotion and involving the youth in an event that presents the art of the generation they belong to.

short history
Twelve galleries in Bucharest participated in the first edition of NAG in 2007. In 2008, NAG #2 brought together 14 locations. The 3rd edition has doubled the number of locations to 28 in 2009; while NAG #4 presented 40 locations. In May 2011 edition we have expanded this event to Cluj - the cultural center with the most outstanding development in last years’ Romania - city where we lined up 12 locations for the first local edition; while NAG #5 Bucharest marked the map for 54 galleries and alternative spaces.
NAG # 6 - May edition presents to the public a map comprising 30 galleries and alternative spaces whose primary objective is to promote contemporary art in all its forms. NAG edition # 6 - September will be launched at the end of May with an open  invitation to all art galleries and spaces in Bucharest.

Ephemair Association aims at developing cultural projects that promote Romanian and international contemporary art. The Association Ephemair is assuming a responsible social and educational role for young people trying both to facilitate access to the culture of their generation and to a series of various cultural events.
