The Artists Association "FUNNEL" is a platform which connects visual artists from South and South-Eastern Europe with the common aim to create a micro-artistic-space that is both a gallery and a workspace for artists interested in sharing international art experience with the artists that live and create in Romania. The purpose of the project is to initiate similar projects in other European cities, with the same idea of cultural exchange of the contemporary art scenes.
The principal objective for creating this platform is to raise the awareness among art professionals about the importance of connecting different art scenes with different backgrounds. Exchanging experiences and ideas, realization of common exhibitions, workshops, lectures about contemporary art are also a part of the programme of this platform.

The first encounter between art and audience has happened primarily in the art studio. The work of art can be seen as a mirror of an artist's working and spiritual space, who by exposing his work exposes a part of his own experiences gained from his own encounters. This exhibition presents itself as a window into the artist's studio and the finished work and the way it is showcased and put in the context of an exhibition.
