Dimișcă Studio/Gallery is the first place in the Eastern Europe that has the purpose to promote the Art Brut and her valency: singular art, Outsider art, Raw Vision, New Figuration, Neue Invention, marginal art, alternative art, folk art, intuitive art, street art, national and international contemporary art and also organizes events that have the mark of unique elements of plastic identification. The Gallery presents exclusively the concepts of Outsider Art Fashion and MobilArt, that has fashion items and furniture customed by the artist Laurențiu Dimișcă.

What is an art work? And what if this art work could become functional? Dimisca Studio/Gallery presents in exclusivity MobilArt. This concept developed by Laurentiu Dimisca starts from the ideea that art can overcome it`s unfunctional feature, becoming and object you can use day by day, without having to alter it`s value. Behind the furniture is a theme that derives from art, this is what makes the object so accesible and yet unique.
The first release in the MobilArt is dedicated to the concept of Art Office. Usually, people associate the space in which they work with the idea of stress, obligation and discomfort. Still, it is up to us to make a change. The ideea of OfficeArt started from the painting ”Lovers” by Laurentiu Dimisca and it materialized in three pieces that are so necesarry in every office: the desk, the bookcase and the cabinet. All three form together a work of art.
The concept of MobilArt aims to change the way people think about enclosed spaces, a space in which our life revolves. If the idea of a painting or of a sculpture can`t find it`s place into our enviroment, for various reasons, the furniture is necessary for the personal comfort. An old piece of furniture that you keep in your garage can become a work of art in the hands of Laurentiu Dimisca. Finding function in art, he creates pieces of furniture for various spaces. His works, internationally aclaimed by art critics, are now transposed into furniture. The first concept launched is OfficeArt. The series will continue with HotelArt, BedroomArt, ShowroomArt, KitchenArt, TerraceArt.

In April, The Outsider ART RO Foundation by Dimisca made a promise: to take out from the storehouse all the artists that exhibit in the most important museums of this world. Most of the times, the Romanian public associates the idea of museums with modern or traditional art, always inaccessible. Contemporary artists are pushed to the edge of the art world when they should instead be the focus of the art market.
The exhibition „Seen in Museums” from Dimisca Studio/Gallery has the purpose to expose in the gallery the artists that have paintings in international museums and are also part of the Outsider ART RO Foundation`s collection. In doing this, we hope to bring the concept of public institution closer to the outsider art.
