Montage Gallery invites you on April the 24th, as part of the "White Night of The Galleries" event, to a journey into the world of arts and playfulness.
The artists VanKa, Sofia Ovejan and Horia Hudubeţ are proposing you, as an enactment of the Merry-go-round symbol, to enter an unique and amazing universe of shapes and colors, a playful maze-like space that calls for reverie.
Various arts (painting, sculpture, engraving), different materials (canvas, wood, metal, paper, fabric, leather) gather around the idea of dynamism, playfulness and movement.
Symbolizing the merry-go-round of childhood, at the boundary of color, motion, light and music, this exhibition is also a carousel of moving objects. The exhibition speaks about a playful universe, the dream of flying and the idea of a circular space where the emotions brought on by the encounter with various and quite complex artifacts give rise to debates on the heterogeneity of contemporary art.
The Artists propose an unusual exhibition pathway, built in an exciting manner (a floor and a living garden, a courtyard and a street of the old Bucharest), which will make you turn just like in a merry-go-round. This structure will bring successively, before your eyes, artworks with surprising but also classic materials (canvas, wood, metal, leather, paper) which are used, associated and mixed into a challenging combination within the complex meanings of their allegorical, surreal subjects. Artistic techniques will be revealed on this occasion: engraving, collage, painting on wood, leather, mosaic, wood and metal sculpture.
Each of these three artists has reached a creative maturity, being well versed in working with and adapting various methods, techniques, styles and artistic influences of the contemporary art and knowing how to synthesize them into original creations that are the fruit of rich artistic experiences (painting, sculpture architecture, interior design and exterior).
Montage Gallery invites you then, not to be just mere spectators, but to accept the challenge to enter a world of dreams where imagination creates shapes in motion, spinning as in a Merry-go-Round.
