About the project: Why stickers? Because we believe they are part of our generation's culture. We collect them from everywhere, stick them on to all of our personal items, we could even say we love them (well, at least us, the NERV team). Ok, let's explain what we're talking about: Starting from the premise that stickers are a part of our generation's culture we thought that it deserves more attention. We're talking about design and that's an art form so like all the others, it needs to be exposed to a larger public. So we decided to let all the artists know that we wanna do an alternate gallery. We asked them to send us their designs and we promised to dress them up in pretty painting forms, and expose them as a street art installation! A sticker represents a design, illustration or small drawing that is printed on sticky paper, Although in the beginning they were used as promotional material for brands, now many artists have started to do designs specifically to fit this form. We truly believe that this represents a futuristic form of art and we wish to explore it even further. Sticker Attack is a project that is addressed to all of those who are passionate about urban culture. Initially conceived as an event which was meant to promote niche artists, we wish to develop it into an actual platform of development. We want to promote this project as a form of alternative art. We see stickers as a ”take away” form of art, which you can carry with you anywhere. We believe this deserves to be explored and exposed as a part of the developing art forms, for the future!
