“Las formas del alma / The forms of the soul" is an exhibition that presents the works of fourteen Spanish artists, Chechu Álava, María Bueno, Soledad Córdoba, Antonio F. Alvira, Santiago Lara, Mireya Martín Larumbe, Vicky Méndiz, Paula Noya, Mapi Rivera, José Luis Serzo, SUSO33, Yolanda Tabanera, Marina Vargas and Juan Zamora, curated by Susana Blas. Fourteen Spanish arstists interested in spirituality approach the concept of soul allowing emotions to overhelm understanding; causing the visitor to indulge in evocations, intuitions, visions and symbolisms that the pieces suggest. The exhibition is based on the former exhibition “The Inner Forest (the forms of the soul” raised as a collective and timelss conversation with the writings of Teresa de Ávila, exhibition that could be seen in Juana Francés Hall of the City Council in Zaragoza (Spain). The exhibition is articulated in three areas of porous boundaries in which everyday spirituality, initiation rituals and dreamlike visions coexist and seek to generate in the visitor an emotional experience that is imposed on intellectualized responses.
