Noaptea Galeriilor 2012

Zorzini Gallery @ Energiea 17 Loc pe harta

str. Brezoianu, nr. 4, parter

Energiea Printing House was opened until 1922-1923 and was the place to print mainly books and magazines. Over time, the purpose of the space changed several times, becoming the home to many shop, then again a typography (during the Second World War), and multiple restaurants (Trocadero after the second World War or Ciocarlia during the communism).
Energy today is equally a pub and urban hub, a place that combines the lightness and relaxation of the words while serving a glass, full of the energy of the artistic and cultural urban events in a deconstructed setting with a strong personality bearing the signature of architect Cristian Corvin. Meanwhile, here you can take part in workshops, exhibitions and debates in various fields: visual arts, theater, film, literature, music, food, journalism, entrepreneurship, social responsibility or fashion.

Engraving the Blue

19:00 - 04:00
workshop / artistic demo

artist: Andrei Gamart
curator: Adina Zorzini
one night artistic demonstration event starting at 19:00

Engraving the Blue project by Andrei Gamart consists of an artistic intervention compiled especially by the artist for this edition of Gallery Night in Bucharest and during which Andrei Gamart will be live printing a series of linoleum engravings (linocut prints) that will turn out at the end of the night into a handmade blue story book; the whole concept is doubled by the fact that Energiea Pub is lodged inside a former 19th century Romanian printing house.
