For over 7 years, we have been crossing the town far and wide in order to document and promote the architectural patrimony. Experience thought us that the heritage is a story that you discover step by step. You need patience to reach the end. There is need for strength to overcome unpleasant fragments and for perseverance to keep turning pages, one by one. There is need for constant attention precisely not to miss the key fragments and you always have to be open for the unexpected.
We believe that investing in patrimony is not an option. It's a responsibility. It is not something that comes from profession, but from human nature, from how we function as human beings in society. We don't invest in order to consume, but to tell the story. We don't defend patrimony because it needs our protection, we need it in order to be able to keep evolving.
Rhabillage Association is the place where we learn to share our cultural heritage.

After World War II, 50 years of communism and an economic boom at the beginning of the 21st century, how we see the Romanian capital today, in the current socio -urban context? Is Bucharest still the little Paris? Is Bucharest a city with an identity of its own? Is there still a strong relationship between Bucharest and Paris? In the case of a positive answer, how does this relationship goes and through what means?
Bucharest, the little Paris? aims to draw public attention concerning the identity of the Romanian capital, based on an urban comparative analysis, by using photographic techniques. The project implies a documentary that presents mirrored situations of representative elements for the identity of the two cities.
On the one hand, the focus is on the static elements, the structure of the neighborhoods, the morphology of the historical centre, symbolic landmarks, new insertions in the built environment, religious architecture, the relationship with the local river local green, landscaping aesthetics. On the other hand, there are the dynamic elements, such as the traffic, the atmosphere in the public space, art in public space, the nightlife of the city, people.
The project’s goal is not to find answers, but to raise questions and to provide the necessary support for discussions at the professional level.
